Making Wreaths with Eastside Art Group

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of ice tea while I share with you inspiration for my art.  Today I will take you into my studio to share some of the beautiful wreaths our Eastside Art Group made.  I made a garden theme wreath to hang in a new little seating area in the garden and will show you that before we go inside.

I used bright green moss and ferns to add a little color harmony to the bench. pillows..

Let's go inside to the studio where Bentley, my Studio Assistant, is waiting to show you around.  Our class was taught by talented Diane who is one of Bentley's favorites.  Our Eastside Group is made up of nine very creative, diverse and talented artists who take turns once a month teaching a class - subjects range from jewelry, metal smithing, collage, journaling, painting, gourd art, wreath making, fiber and fabric art, sewing, print making, etc.

Bentley and Diane at a previous class - he was just as happy to see her today!

Diane brought numerous supplies for our class -grape vine wreaths, sea shells, grasses, seeds, berries, flowers, pine cones, raffia, moss rope, etc. etc. etc. and demonstrated two different wreaths.

A pretty floral wreath with lovely fall colors and a charming sea shell wreath.

Under Diane's guidance - soon this . . . . . . .

Turned into this beautiful wreath made by Sherrill...

This soon turned into . . . . . . . ..

A beautiful wreath made by Marilyn

Sherrill was soon into wreath making and loving it and she made this one out of seashells and beautiful pine cones shaped like little flowers.

Norma made this lovely wreath with a Native American theme.using beads, feathers and clay figures and a charming dream catcher.

Marilyn and Sherrill continued making wreaths - unfortunately I did not take photos of their other lovely creations.

Thank you for stopping by.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those following my blog.

Have a lovely week.   Blessings,  Erin
