Re-Issued Flea Market Gardens Magazine

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea.  I am re-posting one of my most popular blog posts that featured my garden in  Flea Market Gardens as the magazine was recently re-issued in 2016  with some of their most popular articles and I thought you may enjoy taking another look at the way my garden looked in 2011 when the photos were taken - lots of things have changed in the garden since then. All of the beautiful photographs on this post  were taken by the fabulous photographer Michael Garland, my garden was styled by the Divine Sunday Hendrickson, and the article was written by Debra Steilen.  Thank you Michael, Sunday and Debra for the stunning photos, beautiful styling and heartfelt article that captured my colorful garden and love for vintage finds that inspire my art.  Please do not post the photos to Pinterest as they were not taken by me.  Thank you.

The adorable garden shed on the magazine cover was built by one of my blogger friends - Mary Mirabal of www.gardenwhimsiesbymary.com.

My garden was photographed in July 2011 just after my annual Fourth of July garden tour when it was decorated with some of my vintage wooden flags and tin stars and the article is titled Americana Charm.

Here are a few of the photographs in the article: PLEASE DO NOT PIN OR  USE ANY OF THE PHOTOS ON THIS POST AS THEY WERE TAKEN BY MICHAEL GARLAND FOR FLEA MARKET GARDENS MAGAZINE.

When the weather is nice I like to use old rugs in the seating  portions of my garden  to give the feeling of an outdoor room.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your comments, e-mails, visits and those who follow my blog.

NOTE - THIS IS A RE-POSTED ARTICLE AND THE COMMENTS ARE FROM THE ORIGINAL POST.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin

Painting Spring "Tea Cup Pansies"

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for a "tea cup pansy" painting.  Bentley. my Studio Assistant, is in the garden waiting to show you around.

The rusty funnel is one of my favorite containers to plant seasonal flowers.

With so many Pansies in bloom this time of year it was hard to choose which ones to paint - I ended up picking the purple an white to go in the white tea cup.

I also painted more purple ones in a turquoise pot and love the combination.

Thank you for stopping by.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those who follow my blog.

Have a lovely week,  Blessings, Erin
