Painting Blue and White Inspirations

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax and enjoy a cup of tea in the cool mornings.  I have been busy painting the last of the blue Hydrangeas before I dry them for Fall arrangements. I collect blue and white china and love to paint blue and white china combined with blue hydrangeas.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those who follow my blog.

Have a lovely week.   Blessings,  Erin

Looking for Rose Inspirations

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  Today we are going have a quick cup of tea and  leave the garden and take a little trip a few miles down the Pacific Coast Highway to the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens to look for Rose inspirations.  I am so blessed to be teaching art classes there as part of their "Art in the Garden series" and will be teaching how to paint a simple Rose in September.

The gardens are located a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean on 2 and 1/2 acres filled with glorious seasonal plants and flowers, a greenhouse with tropical plants and Orchids, a library , charming gift shop, tea garden and fabulous cafe.

Our classes are usually held around the fountain in the beautiful tea gardens.

The beautiful surroundings are inspirational  for our art in the garden classes.

The Rose gardens are lovely this time of the year.

The turtle pond is one of my favorite places - the Otter is adorable.

                                                                   The shade garden.

After I returned to my garden I found more Rose inspirations.

The classes are open to all levels so I decided to teach how to paint a simple Rose bloom .

Painting Zinnias

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea in the cool morning.  I planted Zinnias early this year and they were in full bloom by March - now they are all bloomed out for the year so I picked the last of them to make bouquets to share with friends and also paint.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, to pick the last of the Zinnias.

I picked a big bouquet  and arranged them in various containers.

I decided to paint the Zinnias in the vintage Ball jar as I loved the contrast.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those following my blog.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin
