Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, in the garden to look for Pansy inspirations for a little painting. I receive so many e-mails asking about Bentley smelling the flowers. He is a very curious Wheaten Terrier and his favorite thing to do in the garden is to "sniff" everything - especially the flowers!!! I walk him every day and he pulls on his leash to sniff the neighborhood flowers - one neighbor said " I think Bentley is stopping to smell the Roses."
I plant my Pansies in pots so I can move them around the garden to sunny areas.
I also like to plant them in the basket of my vintage bicycle and other unusual containers.
"Art In the Garden" - With so much inspiration I decided to paint 3 little pots of Pansies and add a bird nest.
Thank you for visiting me. I sincerely appreciate your e-mails, visits, comments and those of you who follow my blog. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be on a short blog break working on some large coastal cottage paintings for the gallery and will be back Easter week.
Have a lovely week. Blessings, Erin

Love the teacups and the purple flowers in the bike; so cute Erin. Such a pretty painting of it all too. Have a good spring. Kathryn
I will buy lots of pansies on my next trip to the garden store. Your masses of them in your containers, bike basket, old wagon and chair, etc. are so pretty. No wonder Bentley stops to smell the flowers.
Pansies are my favorite and your art does them great justice!
Erin- your pansies are lovely-so beautiful in the bicycle basket!! Where I live-- it's so wonderful to see their bright colorful faces in the early spring.
The picture is just stunning-- thank you for another beautiful tour of your garden--
Love
Vicki
