I have been absent from my blog for a bit as I have been busy learning to use InstaGram and you can now follow me at by clicking on the above link on my blog. I usually post something daily on my IG page.
We are having beautiful weather after all of the rain and the flowers are in full bloom.
Looks like Bentley, my Studio Assistant, is also enjoying the Lilac fragrance.
I arranged them in a vintage Mason jar and also arranged them in a basket to paint.
I ended up painting the arrangement in the basket first and will paint the Mason jar next time.
Have a lovely week. Blessings, Erin

Beautiful; one and all!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... lilacs take me back to my elementary school days era. Loved to pick them and take to my teachers! Oh - and the aroma is simply delicious.
Thanks for posting these so that I could take a trip down memory lane, Erin.
happy day

Lovely ! The color combo is fantastic!
Good Morning Erin:
I always so enjoy your posts on all your beautiful painting and flowers.
I have noticed that the flowers are so vibrant in color this year and so many more blooms on them.
Your sunflowers and lilacs are stunning.
Have a wonderful week.
Mary
Oh! I can smell those lilacs from here! Lovely painting as always!
Aaaaahhhh ...breathing in the colors ...
and the light ...
and the mercy, peace, and love.

back soon, bentley <3
So beautiful. I can always spot your work if I come across it on Pinterest or somewhere!
I just found your blog via Pinterest! I love lilacs and didn't think you could grow them in Southern CA. We just moved out to the Inland Empire, about 45 minutes from you, from CO 2 years ago. I am loving the year round growing season! Is Bently a soft coated wheaten terrier? I have named Bailey and he is the best doggie.
The purple and yellow together is magnificent. I'm buying those flowers at the shop next time and will try to recreate your beautiful bouquet.
good post
