Painting Fuchsias

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My studio is always open fore you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for my art. I am teaching two Fuchsia painting classes at the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens in Newport Beach, Ca and have been taking photos of many varieties of the Fuchsia plants to paint. The classes are part of their 5th Annual Fuchsia Celebration and are  for all levels. I keep the paintings very basic, whimsical and easy so everyone will have fun painting.  The setting where we paint is lovely - under the ancient peeper tree in the beautiful gardens - information about my art classes and all of the amazing classes taught at the gardens can be found at www.slgardens.org under classes and events.

Bentley, my Studio Assistant, is out playing in  the garden looking for the squirrel who comes over every morning to play.

There are so many different varieties and each bloom is different. I decided to use the one above with the purple and fuchsia bloom and use a variety of colors on the little "blossom tags" we will paint.

Thank you for stopping by.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those following my blog.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin

Your paintings of Fuchsias are so pretty. Your garden looks very good considering we have not had a lot of rain. I am praying that we get some tomorrow.

Your tags will be so special for who ever receives them on a gift.

Have a lovely weekend, Erin.

Waldo and Lili say hi to Bentley.

Fuschias are such dainty flowers and lovely colours. I'm wondering, when you hold classes are they for experienced artists or do you cater for complete beginners as well? Just curious.

I didn't realize how many varieties of fuchsia there are. They are all so pretty. I love that you took photos of all of them. The tags that you teach people to paint are so nice...and I like all the different samples that you have. Happy Sunday!
