Painting Vintage Ball Jars

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax  with a cup of tea for a few minutes while I share with you the inspirations for my art.  I am taking a mini break from painting and wanted to share with you a few new paintings inspired by my vintage ball jars filled with pink and lavender flowers.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, to share some new paintings.

I wanted to create a new line of small paintings with words to take to the show and was inspired by the turquoise ball jars with flowers to create "painted words."

Thank you for stopping by.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those of you following my blog.  I will be back visiting your blogs after the Balboa island Art Walk on May 17th.  If you live in the Newport Beach, Ca area the Art Walk is a fabulous show with over 100 artists in a jurried show featuring fine art, jewelry, pottery, mixed media, etc.  Information and directions and parking information can be found at www.balboaislandartwalk.info

I love how your paint you water in your blue-jar canvases. So pretty and so real. And I loved your chintz in the first photo. Just bought a bunch at an estate sale yesterday!
