Winter Primroses - Here - There - Everywhere

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for my art and all things that make my heart sing.  Pansies and Primroses do well in the Winter in Southern California and can handle light frost and they are one of my go to container flowers in my Winter garden.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, in the garden to see what Primroses are blooming.

I was so excited when Armstrong Garden Centers offered an on line coupon  for Primroses and Violas at 99 cents  each that I bought 10 pots for $10.00.  They have added so much happy color to my Winter garden!

I have been painting a series of small paintings of Primroses and want to add one of the mauve/lavender ones to the collection.

The " Primrose Series"   - now to decide what color to paint next!

Thank you for stopping by and welcome new followers.  If you are looking for the GYB party post please scroll down and it is the next post - the winner of my drawing will be announced on February 15th.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those following my blog.  Spring bulbs are starting to bloom here at My Painted Garden and I will be sharing them with you in the next few posts.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin

I'm one of your new followers from the GYB party. What a joy to see your brightly coloured primulas in pots. I saw some on Saturday and I'm usually tempted to buy some. But so glad I didn't, as we've had a lot of frost from very low night temperature, so I'm going to wait a little longer and we had our first dusting of snow last night which was frozen this morning. So I thank you for letting me have the pleasure of seeing yours. I like how you have slipped in some of your lovely paintings behind the potted plants.

Oh what a pretty post. Love all the pretty primroses, such pretty colors.
I see that Bentley is watching over your lovely plants.
I need to get a few plants of color to place around the patio. However, my roses are very pretty now.
Have a great week.

Erin, it is a frozen north here in Michigan today, with about a foot or so of fresh snow. Lovely and frigid! Stepping into the photos on your blog post warm me deep inside.

Such beautiful flowers. This is especially nice to see this time of year! It's so dreary outside.
