Glimpses of Fall

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by and so very happy that I am back in my studio painting and able to once again share with you the inspirations for my art.  My garden gate is again open for you to come in and rest and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you a few new glimpses of Fall in my garden.

I planted some Fall colors in containers right before my surgery so they would be in bloom around the time I could go back into the garden.  August and September are usually the hot months in Southern California so I picked Fall colors in hearty plants that would do well in the heat, but feel like Fall.  I am lucky to live near the ocean where we get cool ocean breezes at night and the early mornings are cool enough to sit in the garden with a cup of tea.

Bentley, My Studio Assistant, has been eagerly waiting for me to get back in the studio and garden. This is one of my favorite pictures of him in the garden and wanted to re-share it with you!

I love putting seasonal flowers in the old tin sap buckets and hanging it on the back of one of my Adirondack
 chairs.

I get most of the color in my garden by planting containers that can be moved around to follow the sun.  The old blue tool boxes are  wonderful as containers and are moved from one place to another with seasonal flowers.

I like to paint small seasonal  paintings that I can tuck into the garden -my "art in the Garden"  touches!

The wreath with Fall colors adds another glimpse of Fall to the garden.  I can't wait until the Farmers Market gets pumpkins in so I can use them for decorations in the garden.  They last until Thanksgiving at which time I take them to the food bank to be used in preparing Thanksgiving dinners for those in need.

"Fall Bounty"  was inspired by glimpses of Fall at the Flower Market and Farmers Market.

Thank you for stopping by and for being so patient with me when I re-posted old posts, and for all of your prayers, well wishes, cards, and e-mails.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin
