Primroses - Here - There - Everywhere

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to  come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for my art and online article for Southern Guide to Life magazine.  Yesterday as I pulled into a parking space at Ralph's Grocery Store  noticed a beautiful display with pots of Primroses marked $1.25 each.  I could not resist and ended up purchasing a number of the little happy colorful flowers to add pops of color to my Winter garden.  They inspired another little painting and idea for my magazine article.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, in the garden and I will share with you a few of the photos and my new little painting of yellow Primroses.

The first thing I did was put the new plants in an old vintage wagon to pull around the garden to find places for them.  Bentley always wants to get in on everything going on in the garden and is a big help in looking for inspiration for me to paint!!!

I ended up placing some of the new Primroses beside the Pansies that are now in bloom in order to create a statement "pop" of color in my Winter garden.

A simple bloom can add a joyful spot of color to the Winter garden.

I placed some in vintage containers and also brought a few of them inside.  I will share those photos with you in my magazine article and let you know when it publishes.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those of you who follow my blog.  Thank you for your comments and e-mails about the re-purposed painting - I repainted the chair green and made a few more changes and will share that with you next post.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings, Erin

lovely primroses . . . beautiful garden scenes . . . wonderful inspiration . . .

The workmen just left after our patio being torn up for over a week. We have to stay off of it for 24 hours, but then I am hitting the garden to freshen it up and plant COLOR. I am liking your vignettes and will be thinking of them and you while I work in the garden this weekend.

Oh this looks so lovely! It would appear that you live where it is warmer. Unless that wasn't outdoors. It snowed all day here in Colorado.
Your blog is very refreshing!

Your pictures are like a breath of fresh air after all of these cold winter days!
I don't know when I've looked so forward to spring!

Erin,I can see why you had to buy the beautiful, colourful primroses. They look adorable in your little garden vignettes. Our garden is suffering a little in the searing heat at the moment. We are going to plant more roses in Spring later this year,as they seem to tolerate the heat the best. They are tough as old boots. LOL

I may have to run out to the grocery and buy some primroses on this snowy day -- another 4-8" expected. Your pretty beauties inspire me!

Just stopping by and so glad I did. What a burst of color and spring that refreshed me! I love your post. Oh hey Bentley!!! (A loving pat on the head for you and a scratch under the chin then behind your ears). I love your shelf on the building or fence. Makes me wish we had privacy fencing all around so I could decorate! Great idea - and I so love all the color, as always. Oh! A magazine article! Neat! Congrats!

Enjoyed my visit! Hugs! Jenn
