Let's Go To the Vintage Flea Market

Welcome. I am so happy that you stopped by. My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax and have a nice cold drink of mint ice tea.  I am re-posting another popular post on the Vintage Flea Market in Old Town Orange, CA.  as I have been so busy with post operative physical therapy I have not had time to write  new post.  I am doing well and starting to paint and hope to have time for a new post next week.
Bentley is already in the garden waiting to show you the new garden sign I bought at the Flea Market.

I hung it over the red bucket fountain I put out for all God's creatures - great and small - to drink from.

The birds and possum love it - looks like a certain Studio Assistant also likes to drink from it.

The bucket fountain came from Debra's Cottage and I had it custom painted red to go with the red accents in my garden. Debra's is a fabulous cottage style shop with over 100 vendors. Her store sells all things wonderful and cottage from furniture, custom made pillows, garden things, china, tea and specialty food items and too many wonderful things to mention. She has a a great website - http://www.debrascottage.com/ - I will blog about her shop in a few weeks.

Enough of my rambling - let's go to Old Town Orange to the Flea Market.

Vintage "girlly " things.

One of my favorite shops is The Victoria Company. I bought my garden sign there. I love shopping there to find red accents for my home and garden.

An old ladder makes a great place to display fun things. It would be wonderful in the garden with potted plants. Hmm - maybe next time I will look for a ladder for my garden.

Before we leave Old Town - let's drive by some of the wonderful old cottages.

This is my very favorite cottage - the pink door really speaks to me. Do you have a favorite cottage?

Another view of the little cottage with pink door. It is for sale and comes with an "art studio" in the back yard.

This lovely stone craftsman home has a beautiful garden.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I sincerely appreciate you visits, comments and those who follow my blog. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see my paint something special.

Have a lovely week. Blessings, Erin

Hello Erin! What a lovely post! All your posts are beautiful but this one took us to a flea market which I love and then you show us some BEAUTIFUL little cottages. Such colorful homes too but I think my favorite is the brighter yellow one. Now I'm REALLY wanting my picket fence after seeing these! Thank you for the wonderful tour...I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Maura :)

Thank you for taking me back to Old Town Orange where I miss being. The cottages are all so beautiful. Bentley is very smart to hydrate in this beastly heat. Happy gardening...

Such wonderful pictures of Bentley in your garden. What a very lucky Wheaten he is! Love that you photographed the house with the pink door in Old Town. My front door is pink, too! What a stir that caused on my block for a few days until everyone got used to it. That pink door makes me smile every day when I drive into my driveway after a hard day at work. Then I walk in the house and get greeted by my two Wheatens, and it's a PARTY!

I do love those cottages in Old Orange...and have photographed a few of these myself in the past. The front porches are so charming and inviting....wouldn't it be wonderful to live in one of these?

I love the post! I adore your studio assistant too. Everything is wonderful. If I lived nearby I would buy the cottage with the pink door. It would be great to have a studio on the property! Best wishes with your therapy...feel better soon

Your pictures and paintings are always beautiful and interesting. Soon we (my husband and I) will travel to California and hopefully San Diego will be one of our destinations. The scenery is very colorful and refreshing.

I would not mind to own the cottage with pink doors and artist studio :o)
I love the white fences that i see on many photos of cottages.

Bon courage for the post therapy.

I have only been to Old Town Orange twice. Both times were to go for High Tea. We walked around the shops and it was so much fun.

Thanks for the updated tour - it cost me less money than the other 2 visits.
