Painting Pink Hydrangeas

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for my art. I found some pink Hydrangeas at the garden shop and decided to paint them.  I always love painting some of the first Spring flowers that are blooming in pink.

Today I am participating in Pink Saturday  at www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com.  Click on the link to visit lots of charming blogs.

I love  to have a cup of tea in the garden when I am painting.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, in the garden to see what other pink flowers are starting to bloom.

The Cosmos are just starting to bloom.

The pink Geraniums are blooming.

Impatients are just starting to bloom.

I decided to paint the glass bowl of pink Hydrangeas.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, comments, e-mails and those of you who follow my blog.

Wishing you and your family a Happy and Joyful Easter.  Blessings,  Erin

Your painting is fabulous! I, too, couldn't resist buying pink hydrangeas, but I think your end result is far more fun! Sweet Bentley -- you can send him up to Michigan anytime!

Beautiful photos Erin and of course hydrangeas are my favorite. Yesterday I ventured out, though still chilly, and pruned the dead flowers on my bushes - little green leaves appearing so hopefully the hydrangeas will do well this Spring before that NC humidity and heat attacks!

Easter blessings to you and Bentley dear.
Hugs - Mary

Your garden makes me smile. You already have such wonderful blooming flowers. I'm still in the midst of Winter. Spring has arrived, but we still have Frosts and snow.
I love your painting. Such rich colours.
Happy Easter to you.

Your garden is 6 weeks ahead of ours - maybe 2 months. We can still have snow yet here in Colorado! I love your painting of the hydrangeas - the style where it goes off the page so to speak - beautiful!

Beautiful painting as always. I love Hydrangeas, they are the all over the islands my husband came from (The Azores)in various colours.
I have a single pot that I treat with great care, but they have to be in the shade, as Perth's heat is too much for this plant.
