Winter White In My Garden

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of hot tea while I share with you the inspirations for my garden.  We are having cold weather in Southern California with snow in our local mountains - just a two hour drive away.  Our IceBerg roses will be cut back next week and there are a few stray  blooms left on the bushes that I picked and brought inside to paint.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, to take a quick look around in the garden to see what is still blooming.

The white Inpatients that were protected from the frost are still blooming.

The Paperwhites are blooming.  I always plant lots of them to give some Winter white color in the garden.

A few white Geraniums are still blooming.

The white Pansies are starting to bloom and do not mind the frost.

I love the way the last of the white Iceberg Roses look in the blue and white pot and decided to paint them.

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those of you who follow my blog.  Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see me paint something special.

Wishing you and your family Peace and Happiness in the New Year.

Blessings, Erin

How lucky of you to have still Iceberg roses. I love them too because they are never tired to bloom even in winter.
White is beautiful and elegant at home and in the garden. As always your photos are very inspiring.
Your bouquet is a success.

I wish you the best for this New Year.

Happy New Year To You and Bently,
Your post is soooo very beautiful and Bently's eyes would soften the darkest heart.
I hope to have a gorgeous blog like yours one day.
Your flowers, and winter white roses are stunning...I love the roses against your blue and white checked curtains.
YOU WILL ALWAYS...ALWAYS BE sooo very BEAUTIFUL AND SPECIAL TO ME AND ALTHOUGH YOU CAME INTO AMY'S LIFE FOR A SHORT SHE LOVED YOUR SWEET, COMPASSIONATE SPIRIT.
I know she is riding her pink bicycle all over heaven.
I will be sending you an e-mail and tell you about the plans for the AMY DAWN RAGAN ART SCHOLARSHIP. It is for those who excel in art but family finances or their illnesses keep them from attending college or special art classes. We are a step closer.
Sometimes when we think God has deserted us, He is working in the background for our favor.
much love to you, my dear friend

The second photo of Bentley is just so absolutely adorable. Precious face!
Beautiful post. And as always, a beautiful painting.
I always wanted a moon garden - all whites so the moon reflects the whites. Great post.
I also especially like the verse and the image at the end - love the frame w/the wood greens and browns. Lovely.
Thanks. Jenn

Your little doggy is so sweet. I love the blue tea cup, it's beautiful. For some reason, my favorite tea cups are the blue ones.
