Painting Pink Hydrangeas

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea - yes I am serving tea this morning as we are having a cool and cloudy day in Southern California. I wanted to celebrate Beverly's birthday (creator of  Pink Saturday) on July 28th a little early  by painting something pink.
I am linking to Pink Saturday at www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com.

Let's join Bentley, My Studio Assistant, in the garden to look for pink inspirations.

I decided to cut the pink Hydrangeas to dry for the winter - they are planted in a container and I can't believe how many blooms they produced.

                                                               Finding Inspiration . . . . .

                                                                          Here . . . . . .

                                                                                There . . . .

I really like the way the Hydrangeas look in the round glass bowl and decided to paint them on a small square canvas.
                                                                        Everywhere . . . . . .

                                                                      " Art In The Garden"

Thank you for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits, e-mails, comments and those who follow my blog.  Due to the numerous requests I receive asking me about purchasing  my small original paintings I am going to start listing them in my ETSY shop for $45.00.  The pink Hydrangeas will be my first small painting 9x9  listed and can be purchased by clicking on my ETSY shop on my blog.

Erin, a delightful painting of your beautiful pink hydrangeas - glad you've had so many blooms to clip and dry. I've saved a few of my blue ones from the devastating heat here (I'm sure you recall the NC Summers!) and they have dried already - nice shades of green and mauve - later I will fill a large basket on top of my armoire with them for Winter decor.

Woof to handsome as ever Bentley - enjoy your weekend together.
Hugs - Mary

Hi Erin! This is my first visit to your gorgeous blog! Your office assistant is very cute, and your painting is lovely. My studio assistant is Molly, the golden retriever. She doesn't say much, but she's a sweet companion :) I'll mention you in my blog and include a link so others can visit your wonderful site. Have a great weekend, Terri

What a stunning blog! Gardens and art are always a favourite theme for me. I have noticed a profusion of hydrangeas around our parts here in France. You have captured them beautifully.

Warmest wishes from your most recent follower.
