With Valentines Day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my photographs of roses (since my roses are not in bloom his time of year) that were the inspirations for my art.

One of my favorite photos of Bentley, my Studio Assistant, stopping to smell the roses! The rose is the flower of love and has inspired poets, musicians and painters for centuries. I love painting roses and each time I pick up my brush to paint one I am reminded that roses are a gift to the spirit.
