A Garden Day Painting

Welcome. I am so happy that you stopped by. My garden gate is always open for you to come in and sit and relax with a cup of tea while I share with you the inspirations for my art. Do you feel that Summer is quickly slipping away? I certainly feel the days are passing too quickly and try and spend as much time in the garden painting as I can while the flowers are still in bloom.

Let's join Bentley, my Studio Assistant, in the garden to look for inspirations to paint a Garden Day painting filled with the flowers in bloom.
Finding inspiration . . . . . .

The Black Eyed Susan are in bloom and I want to add them to the painting.

Red Geraniums are always nice.

Here . . . . .

I love using the little bird cloche in my paintings and this one has been in lots of them.
There . . . . .

It is not unusual for my white wicker furniture to end up in a painting.

Everywhere . . . . . .

The white Ice Berg roses are still in bloom - they have been cut back three times this year and still look beautiful

My garden gloves and shears also end up in a lot of my garden paintings.

The last of the Zinnias are blooming - I will have to paint them next!

"Happy is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates." Proverbs 8:34

The completed Garden Day painting with white wicker chair, Black Eyed Susan's, hydrangeas, bird cloche, garden gloves and red Geraniums.

Thank you for stopping by. I love hearing from you and sincerely appreciate your visits,

e-mails, comments and those of you who follow my blog. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see me paint something special.
