Flower Shoppe Inspirations

Welcome. I am so happy you stopped by. Would you like to take a little trip with me and visit one of my favorite local flower shoppes ? I would love to share with you the inspiration for my paintings. We had a wonderful break from the rain in Southern California last weekend - the sun was shining - the sky was blue and the flowers were glorious and I was thinking about Spring flowers.

Let's take Bentley for a walk to Blooms Flower Shoppe and look for inspiration.

Erin my dear artist...
First of all, thank you for visiting my blog. It means a lot to me that people draw inspiration and that they are moved to dream. Now, YOUR POST! WOW! I am an artist at heart, but not trained. Your work is exquisite and BENTLEY is a crack-up! He is far too cute beyond words! I grew up in Southern California, Southwest L.A. then Pico Rivera, and then Whittier before moving to Boston, Mass. and then now settling in Minneapolis. There is beauty from which to draw in all of these landscapes and I am grateful for having seen quite a bit to bring me to where I am now; an aspiring writer, illustrator and educator in French language. God certainly pours out His creativity to us to in turn, give to the world. You are so gifted and thank you again for coming!

So many pretty floral shops, it is so European looking! I love to walk by them since it is so inviting, and you made your painting that way too!!

What a treat, Erin! Outside my window this morning the clouds are moving in readying up for sleet and a messy day ahead! Not even a daffodil sprout to be seen!

Beautiful, beautiful flowers, Erin. And beautiful paintings too! It's wonderful to see all the color of the flowers since things are still a bit drab from winter around here.

Donna

Oh Erin, I can see how this flower shop would inspire an artist. It's beautiful, and your renderings of it are also beautiful! I always love your paintings, but I think these may be my favorites! (I may think that every time I see a new one of your pieces of art though). laurie
