Fall in the Garden and Summer in the Studio

Welcome.  I am so happy that you stopped by.  Today you are invited into my studio for a cup of apple spice tea to see what I have been up to for the past five weeks while on an extended blog break.  Bentley. my Studio Assistant, is waiting in the garden to take you into the studio.

I took a long  blog break to take Donna Downey's Abstract Florals on line class and have been busy painting flowers and playing with a palette knife.  Our garden  is all decked out for Fall. but my studio is blooming with Spring and Summer.

The vases below were painted using a palette knife.  I am still practicing and love the dimension it gives to the vases.

This one was painted on an all black canvas.

Thank you for stopping by.  I sincerely appreciate your visits, comments, e-mails and those who follow my blog.

Have a lovely week.  Blessings,  Erin

"The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places . . .and you shall be like a watered garden . . .whose waters never fail."  Isaiah 58:11

  3. Autumn is not my favorite season - only because I know Old Man Winter will soon be here. Yes, even in Texas, that guy makes a visit. Therefore, your Spring and Summer flowers are a welcoming sight.

Isn't Donna THE BEST? She traveled to Texas and I had the opportunity to take her classes. I enjoyed every second.

Happy Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall!!!!

  10. Oh, so pretty!

If you look at a recent post http://artandsand.blogspot.com/2016/10/it-makes-me-smile.html you will see a flower painting Steve did from one of my photographs. He doesn't usually do flowers so it was fun.
